Die Setter $20-22/hr

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Die Setter/Press Operator to join an automotive plastics manufacturing team. This vital role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of industrial presses and machining equipment to produce high-quality components efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and must have experience working within a manufacturing/plastics environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to precision manufacturing processes and ensure consistent product quality.

Responsibilities

• Set and remove tools from injection molding machines. Including water hook ups, cleaning, labeling hoppers and dryers, removing old pack and setting up new pack, and purging the press.
• Assist shift supervisor with getting press started and adjusting press as needed to produce high quality parts.
• Loading and unloading semi trucks as needed
• Break coverage for machine operators as needed
• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery including press brakes, CNC equipment, and fabrication tools to ensure optimal operation.
• Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling equipment; assist with warehouse organization as needed.

Skills

• Minimum of 1 year experience Die Setting, working with steel dies, used in plastic injection molding manufacturing.
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
